Yellow Wood has expertise in the area of woody biomass for heating. We combine our knowledge of forestry with issues of sustainable energy. We work with agencies, communities, institutions and private businesses to provide biomass education and outreach and evaluate how wood energy can meet energy needs, what technologies are available and what benefits could result.
Yellow Wood has developed a range of biomass resources including the Community Roadmap to Renewable Woody Biomass Energy and the Guide to Public Outreach for Biomass Projects, and a composite summary of the reports created for the U.S. Forest Service Wood Energy Utilization Support project.
