This report is a pre-feasibility assessment specifically tailored to Lakewoods Resort outlining whether or not a biomass energy project makes sense for this facility from a practical perspective. This study analyzes three different biomass scenarios, 1) a woodchip boiler serving the main lodge buildings, owner’s residence, the condominium complex and the outdoor pool; 2) a woodchip boiler serving the main lodge buildings and owner’s residence only; and 3) a wood pellet boiler serving the main lodge buildings and owner’s residence only.
