Participants in the second WealthWorks training, which began in April 2014 and runs through February 2015, come from organizations and states across the country, including Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group (DC), Brookfield Industrial Development/Northwest Missouri Roundtable (MO), Clearwater Economic Development Association (ID), Community Action Partnership (ID), Fremont Area Community Foundation (MI), Greater Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce (AK), HandMade in America (NC), Land of Sky Regional Council (NC), National Association of Development Organizations (DC), Newaygo County Economic Development Office (MI), Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments (MO), Purdue University Extension (IN), Region Five Development Commission (MN), Rural Development Initiatives (OR), Southeast Conference (AK), SPROUT MN (MN), and WSOS Community Action Commission (OH). The WealthWorks Training provides coaches and coordinators from nonprofit, for profit, and government agencies with an introduction to the Wealth Works approach and framework and a guided six to nine month Wealth Works value chain exploration experience. WealthWorks is an approach to economic development that is rooted in place and embodies sustainability principles.
