The WealthWorks Training provides coaches and coordinators from nonprofit, for profit, and government agencies with an introduction to the Wealth Works approach and framework and a guided six to nine month Wealth Works value chain exploration experience. WealthWorks is an approach to economic development that is rooted in place and embodies sustainability principles. Participants in the first WealthWorks training, which began in December 2013 and ran through September 2014, came from organizations and states across the country, including the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (MN), alt.Consulting (AR), the Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group (DC), Delta Cuisine Southern Kitchen Incubator (AR), Fremont Area Community Foundation (MI), Michigan State University Extension (MI), Oregon State University (OR), Osceola Center for Arts & Heritage (AR), Rural Community Assistance Corporation (CA), and Rural Development Initiatives (OR).
