Shanna Ratner, Principal, presented on "Local Wealth Creation, Diversification and Retention." This presentation provided an overview of the wealth creation approach to rural development and the Ford Foundation's Wealth Creation in Rural Communities initiative. The presentation explained principles of wealth creation, presented the wealth matrix as a tool for strategic planning and evaluation, and described the ways in which the initiative was being implemented along with lessons to date.
