Yellow Wood worked with the Land Trust Alliance Northeast Region and the 1772 Foundation to plan and facilitate a meeting of farmland preservation grantees.  The Land Trust Alliance Northeast Region has a collaborative relationship with the 1772 Foundation to manage a grant program focused on farmland acquisition.  The purpose of this grant program is to support sustainable food systems through the protection of critical farmland in the New York and Boston foodsheds.  The meeting facilitated by Yellow Wood brought together members of the Land Trust Alliance, the 1772 Foundation and stakeholders to focus on the questions of how land trusts in the Northeast can effectively preserve farmland and ensure that more preserved farmland is utilized for food production.

We had a very good meeting …  I think the Yellow Wood process worked out great, engaged the entire group and gave us some good insights to work with. - Kevin Case, The Land Trust Alliance
