Curriculum Evaluation for the Leaping with Salmon/Trout Project

Yellow Wood Associates, Inc. worked with the Boquet River Association to evaluate the effectiveness of the “Adopt-A-Salmon Family” environmental curriculum that was adapted to trout and used by seven schools in the Adirondacks in the "Leaping with Salmon/Trout" program. Yellow Wood Associates, Inc. analyzed results and summarized key learnings. Teachers recorded their expectations and assumptions about the curriculum at the outset, providing reflections midway through and at the end of the year. Teachers also conducted pre- and post-tests of students.
