Grant Funding Opportunities this Fall – Cooperative Development Fund, Lake Champlain Basin Program

Looking for funding? Consider these two grant opportunities, both with deadlines this fall. The first grant opportunity is open to applications from food coops nation-wide. The second is open to those working in the Lake Champlain region, with several areas of focus around long term management of the Lake Champlain basin.

• The Cooperative Development Foundation is currently accepting Bowers Fund grant applications. The deadline for applications is October 15th. Read more about the Bowers Fund. Note that Bowers Fund grant applications must be for the training and education of food co-op staff, managers, and board members.
• The Lake Champlain Basin Program is seeking proposals for local grants to support the implementation of the long term management plan for Lake Champlain. The deadline for applications is November 5th. Grants will be made for Pollution Prevention & Wildlife Habitat Conservation, Aquatic Invasive Species Spread Prevention, Education and Outreach, Organizational Support, and Local Water Trail Development.
