Shanna Ratner and Rob Petrini presented a You Get What You Measure workshop for the Community Foundation of Greater South Wood County, WI on March 5, 2009. This half day session was the first of two, the second presented on May 12, 2009. The first half-day session brought together representatives from the South Wood County nonprofit organizations inviting them to work together and to express what they valued about their community and to group those values into themes which resulted in the identification of eleven goals. Participants then chose the three goals they felt would have the greatest impact and identified indicators of progress toward those goals. The workshop concluded with an indicator analysis which identified key leverage and key results indicators. The next session on May 12, 2009 allowed the participants to look at each key leverage indicator define key terms;identify measures of progress and to begin developing measurement and action plans related to the measures for each key leverage indicator.
